Christmas arrives at Abbot’s Hospital!
Abbot’s Hospital is to hold its first Christmas Fair in 400 years from 10.00am to 3.00pm on Tuesday 3 November!  The event provides a unique opportunity to see inside this magnificent 17th century building and purchase individually selected gifts and products.  A wide range of stallholders will offer hand crafted jewellery, textiles, toiletries and chocolate.  In addition, beautiful plant arrangements, stationery items, toys and games will be available.  Seasonal refreshments will be served and costumed guides will be on hand to talk about the building.  Entry £2 per person with all proceeds to Abbot’s Hospital.

A WALK THROUGH 400 YEARS
C17 Architecture Fit for C21 Living Wednesday 17 June 2009: 6.00pm – 7.45pm This exciting new tour demonstrates conservation and restoration work over the past 5 years, and work to facilitate C21 living for elderly residents.  The tour, limited to 20 people, is free but donations welcome. OPEN DAY - Saturday 27 June 2009: 10am – 3pm
A highlight of Guildford’s Summer Festival. Include C17 re-enactors, children’s activities, tours and other fun events.  The Common Hall will be laid up for a typical C17 meal. Delicious homemade refreshments from 11am – 2 pm. Just turn up on the day. £3 per person; £5 per family.  Under 16s free of charge. Money raised supports the work of the Hospital charity. HERITAGE DAY - Saturday 12 September 2009: 10am – 3pm
Abbot’s Hospital has participated in this national initiative for many years. Tour Guides will run free tours of the building at 20 minute intervals throughout the day.
